QUALITY EDUCATION FUND PROJECT (SECONDARY) 2019/20 
Enhancing secondary students’ English writing through 3C based (Collaboration, Creativity and Critical thinking) activities, self-regulation strategies and e-Learning tools (QEF No.: 2018/0449)

OBJECTIVES

  • Promoting students’ English writing competence through 3C-based activities

  • Promoting students’ English writing competence through the use of self-regulated writing strategies in the three main writing stages, i.e., before, during and after

  • Facilitating students’ English writing and development of 3Cs and self-regulation in English writing through e-Learning tools and resources

  • Assisting teachers to integrate the 3Cs and self-regulated writing strategies into their instruction through the use of iPads and e-Learning resources

  • Developing school-based writing curriculums to better cater for learners’ differences 

  • Enriching students’ learning experiences through collaborative activities with peers and the whole class on iPads and with relevant e-Learning resources

  • Promoting students’ motivation to write in English 


These objectives were formulated with reference to the common issues/problems in writing as reflected in the needs analyses conducted with the participating schools. 

EXPECTED NUMBER OF BENEFICIARIES

A total of 240 teachers including 160 English teachers, 40 academic heads and 40 English panel heads, 4,800 students and 2,000 parents of 40 local secondary schools.
