• Latest methodologies of teaching English as a second language at secondary level that aim at:

  1. Designing and adopting tasks that engage secondary students

  2. Promoting social and emotional learning through collaborative activities in English classes: Developing positive values, attitudes, and generic skills

  3. Using peer feedback in writing lessons

  4. Catering for learner diversity

  5. Enhancing English language learning and teaching through drama

  6. Teaching self-regulated learning strategies in reading lessons: Read to learn

  7. Teaching 21st century skills in writing lessons

  8. Analysing and teaching English through language arts

  9. Incorporating innovative pedagogy for grammar

  10. Consolidating teaching skills for listening, speaking and pronunciation

  11. Promoting task-based language assessment: Assessment for/as learning in a learner-centred curriculum

  12. Using multiliteracices pedagogy to enhance English learning

• School-based curriculum development that aims at:

  1. Developing a school-based learner-centred curriculum

  2. Incorporating core competencies into the new curriculum

  3. Integrating e-portfolios into the English language education curriculum

  4. Implementing 21st century skills in the writing curriculum

  5. Embedding e-learning into the school-based curriculum

• Use of IT in enhancing English learning and teaching that aims at:

  1. Selecting, adapting, and evaluating e-learning resources and teaching strategies

  2. Using e-portfolio assessment to promote students' English learning

  3. Adopting innovative e-learning tools (ie VR) to innovate the teaching of English writing
